How your baby's growing: Your baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound. Her skin is red and wrinkled. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare her for breathing. She can swallow, but he normally won't pass her first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Loud noises heard often in utero — such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze your baby when she hears them outside the womb.

no food analogies :( boo. i guess my uterus is supposed to be the size of a basketball soon. it will look like i'm carrying a basketball under my shirt too. ha ha.

researching about what you can do with the umbilical cord it is pretty amazing what they can use the cord for. there is a site on the left side you can read about more info too. it is all new to me. it is definitely something worth thinking about setting up when it doesn't hurt you or the baby!
