29 wks

Your baby is as big as a butternut squash, weightwise -- about 2 1/2 pounds. (Length: a tad over 15 inches, head to heel.)

they don't say that you start eating like you've never eaten :) i am sooo hungry all the time. it's crazy. i forgot about that.

my sisters went on a cinnamon donut run for me. it's bad when your family goes on runs for you. and my pregnancy brain is kicked on in high gear. or i guess lack there of.

i had to go to target to get something for haley. i couldn't recall for the life of me what i needed. walked down the aisles aimlessly. left and then later my dad reminded me what i needed. duh. i hate that.

spending a week in omaha. it's so fun for haley to play with her aunties and grandparents.

can't believe i'm 29 wks.

You're in the home stretch! The third and final trimester starts this week. If you're like most women, you'll gain about 11 pounds this trimester. (i gained a lot more than that with haley - we'll see how this trimester goes)

Your baby is equal in weight to a Chinese cabbage -- about 2 1/4 pounds. (Length: almost 15 inches, from head to heel.)

still measuring a bit bigger than average, but that might just be the way he's lying. haley measured small sometimes and big sometimes. next week we will be starting the 3rd trimester. haley sat in my lap today while i got my blood drawn. she was very concerned, but very good today for our long appointment. she sat in a chair all by herself and read a magazine. so grown up. of course she wiggled and danced to her brother's heartbeat.

funny comments

so we have moved past the 'was it a mistake question' thank goodness. now it's when will your construction be done and when will you move haley to her big girl room. same time construction is done ;) hopefully all before the baby comes. i can't believe we'll be full-term in 10 wks. ack. by this time with haley we had started putting her room together and getting organized. we haven't bought anything for this baby yet. i feel kind of guilty. i didn't buy clothes for haley because i knew once i started i wouldn't stop. but i feel like i should buy our little guy something new.

this weekend one of our waitresses offered me wine. i thought that was funny.

also i was waiting in line for the bathroom. and as you get bigger and maybe it's because he was kicking my bladder, but i had to really go - and this lady was so rude to me. first she didn't lock the door so i walked in and she slammed the door on me. then she opened the door - looked at me and said it will take awhile. so i just stood there. the lady worked there and another employee knocked on the door after 5 min and said get out - this lady has to pee. i thought that was pretty nice. i was surprised how rude the lady in the bathroom was.

anyways - then i was getting my haircut and another lady asked me how the new baby was. i guess she thought i looked like i just had the baby - not sure if that's good or bad. i have been looking pretty tired - but i laughed and said the baby is still in my belly. i have a few months to go.

i love that i haven't been riding public transportation. with haley i had strangers wanting to touch my belly or give me advice. so this time i've been able to keep our little guy just to family and friends :)

ok - i'm just babbling because i'm up so early waiting to get haley ready and to go pick out our new bathroom vanity counters. yay.

how am i almost at the 3rd trimester? wow. starting my every 2 wk doc appointments.

Your baby is as hefty as a head of cauliflower, weighing in at almost 2 pounds. (Length: about 14 1/2 inches.)

our baby boy is quite the boxer or kick boxer. he is definitely a wiggler like his sister. he hasn't gotten as many hiccups as haley, but still gets them.

still feeling pretty good considering all that is going on in our house. at least we can sleep in our own beds again - for now. hoping to be done with construction by christmas/hanukkah. yay. can't wait.

Your baby is as tall as an English hothouse cucumber and weighs about 1 2/3 pounds. (Length: 14 inches, head to heel.)

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
